As a Sydney food photographer I thought I would pass on the valentines day feels with a creative heart food test shoot.

The inspiration and starting piece to the series was the cherries which have an almost natural heart shape. Backgrounds were colour paired to the food item to give a pop art feel which was inspired from a recent pop art exhibition I visited.

The Bananas came together in a reasonably natural way but the orange obviously needed a bit of image manipulation in photoshop to get the end result. For the coffee beans a hear shape was traced to give the outside edge with the centre then being filled. The subjects were lit with Profoto lighting and shot on the Sinar camera system.

The shoot was super fun and as always I love testing to keep the creative excitement in my commercial projects.
